In the case of hepatitis, the liver inflammation occurs. There are inflammatory cells that infect the liver. This is one such disease where there might be no symptoms at all. There are some symptoms in some cases such as jaundice that is yellowing of the skin and mucous membrane. Poor appetite is also one classical symptom of jaundice.
There are 2 types of Hepatitis and they are as follows –
Acute Hepatitis: This is a very common type of Acute Hepatitis. In this case, the liver cell gets damaged due to inflammation of the liver. This type of hepatitis is due to viral infection, alcohol abuse and autoimmune disorder.
Chronic Hepatitis: The people who do not recover from acute hepatitis eventually develop chronic hepatitis. The time period of the infection is responsible for the types of hepatitis. If hepatitis persists more than 6 months, then it is regarded as Chronic Hepatitis.
